UAKN Atlantic Event: “Research For A Better Life: Restructuring Relationships, Restoring Justice” November 18, 2016

University of New Brunswick - Fredericton, Bailey Drive, Fredericton, NB

The Urban Aboriginal Knowledge Network Research Centre (UAKN Atlantic), University of New Brunswick Law Faculty, and the Government of New Brunswick’s Justice and Public Safety’s Community Services and Crime Prevention Branch would like to invite you to a workshop titled, “Research For A Better Life: Restructuring Relationships, Restoring Justice”

This workshop will provide participants with a better understanding of New Brunswick’s urban Aboriginal peoples and their organizations. In particular, we will focus on the relationships with NGO agencies and government departments operating in the justice and public safety sector. Participants will learn about the history and current challenges, identify existing gaps in programs and services and find out about positive steps forward. Following the lead of our urban Aboriginal partners, attendees will participate in developing a community-driven research agenda designed to address existing gaps and create unprecedented partnership opportunities.
