The Urban Aboriginal Knowledge Network (UAKN) is a research network built on partnerships with urban Aboriginal communities, policy-makers, academics and student researchers engaging in community driven research aimed at fostering “mino-biimaadiziwin” – a phrase meaning the good life, in this context specifically for urban Aboriginal peoples.
The UAKN 2015-16 Summary of Research is now available online, find out the latest key findings and information on the over 50 UAKN Research Projects taking place across the regions by clicking on the report image below! As many projects reach their completion stages we can see many themes emerging. Many of the UAKN findings and solutions are grounded in themes surrounding culture, resilience and reconciliation.
