The NAFC’s project Informing Program and Service Needs of Aboriginal Populations through a Geographical Approach is a large-scale initiative designed to provide a better understanding of the program and service needs of urban Aboriginal populations.
This project began shortly after the NAFC was identified as a lead partner in the successful Aboriginal Policy Research Conference in 2006. As a legacy of the conference, the NAFC wanted to invest in strategic research to help future programming efforts. The NAFC decided to design a database where the Friendship Centre Movement and others could gain a better understanding of the communities we work in.
